Building Confidence, One Skill at a Time

The Skills in Motion workshop program is all about giving women the practical knowledge, technical ability, and confidence they need to take charge — whether that means maintaining their own vehicle, excelling in a professional shop, or pursuing a career in the automotive industry. Led by experienced women in automotive trades, our workshops provide a welcoming, hands-on learning environment where no question is too small and no ambition is too big.

We offer in-person and virtual training sessions designed to meet women where they are, from complete beginners to those ready to level up their expertise. Every workshop combines step-by-step instruction with real-world application, so participants walk away with skills they can use immediately.

Detail to Drive Workshop: Empowering Women Behind the Wheel

 

The Detail to Drive Workshop, proudly sponsored by The Shop Club Houston and Laguna Auto Detail Supplies, brought together women from all walks of life to learn the essentials of car care, safety, and confidence on the road.

 

This hands-on experience gave participants the opportunity to dive into vehicle detailing, maintenance basics, and real conversations about independence and opportunity in the automotive world. The day was filled with learning, laughter, and genuine connections. As women worked side by side, they built not only skills but also lasting friendships!

 

These workshops are part of AB Foundation’s mission to fuel women’s futures in the automotive world by creating spaces where women can learn, grow, and take the driver’s seat — both on the road and in life.
